Cora B. Koenig, age 98, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Berkeley Square Health Care.  She was born in San Saba, Texas on December 16, 1911 the daughter of Edward and Lydia (Schlaudt) Brown.  She received her nursing degree from Robert B. Green Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.  She was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army serving in the South Pacific Theatre in WWII as a nurse and nurse anesthetist and later she worked with her husband in his dental practice. She married Dr. Charles E. Koenig on July 5, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1999. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She is survived by three brothers, Clayton S. Brown of Grapeland, Texas, Lee H. Brown of Magnolia, Texas and James K. Brown of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Louise B. McConnell of Austin, Texas, Alfreda Whitley of San Saba, Texas, Ruth L. Thomsen of Apple Valley, California and 21 nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. Charles E. Koenig; four brothers, Edward G. Brown, Bascom Brown, Larry Brown and Douglas Brown; two sisters Luzetti Monroe and Adeline Churchwell. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Morgan officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the American Heart Assn., Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013, Columbus, Ohio 43218-2039 or a charity of ones choice
