Robert Reiff, beloved husband, father and grandfather died peacefully on February 10, 2010. He was born on March 5, 1926 in Hamilton the son of Paul S. and Elsie E. (Segerwick) Reiff. He served in the U.S. Army from May 12, 1944 until June 21, 1946. He married Virginia Lee Jones on April 19, 1947 in Millville, Ohio. He was a self employed auto dealer. Robert was a member of Lindenwald United Methodist Church. He was a member of the VFW and he enjoyed golf and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Lucinda Slabaugh and husband James of Sabot, Virginia; a son, Robert D. Reiff of Hamilton; a sister, Betty Chappelear of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Meredith (Noah) Greenbaum of Richmond, Virginia, Bonnie Beth Zimmer of Charlottesville, Virginia, Megan Reiff, Heather Reiff and Brandon Reiff; a niece, Diane (Otto) Boysen of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Paul Reiff and a sister, Dorothy Gray. Funeral services will be Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. His gentle and kind presence will be missed forever. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
