Carol Jean Eaton, age 78, a resident of Hamilton, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:10 p.m. in Cannon Hospice in New Orleans, La. She was born in Hamilton on January 10, 1934, the daughter of Ernest S. and Elizabeth (Zimmers) Hardin. She married Charles C. Eaton December 15,1956 in Hamilton and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2009. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Eaton and wife Marybeth (Ganz) Eaton of River Ridge, La., Timothy Eaton and wife Kimberly (Salsbury) Eaton of New Orleans, La. David Eaton of Bozeman, Montana. Five grand-children Anthony and wife Emily Eaton, Vincent and Juliane Eaton, Elizabeth Eaton, Elliott Eaton, and Anna Jean Eaton. One great-grand child Adelaide Eaton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. Carol was a life long resident of Hamilton. She lived her final years in New Orleans. She retired from Key Bank after nearly a forty year career in the banking industry. She was an avid reader, loved conversation and had a great sense of humor. Carol was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and loyal friend. She had a brave and courageous spirit throughout her life. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed. She will be in our hearts, prayers and memories. Funeral services will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N.W. Washington Blvd. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the services at 11 am and burial immediately following. The burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
